AAAD Library

The study of the school library interior is situated on the ground floor of the existing library building on the Jan Palach Square in Prague. The main idea of the project is a horizontal division of space into two functionally different parts. The ground floor is reserved only for the books and documents storage in the large sliding bookshelves. The first floor is then intended for readers who can use the study room and the computer room with outlooks to the street. The first floor and the stores on the ground floor are connected by the stairways and freight books elevator. This concept of the library uses the provided space maximally and its character does not disturb the historic building look.
